Tobias was born in Munich, Germany, and enjoyes boardsports, open-minded people and playing Nintendo with others. He grew up on the border between the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, next to a student town called Aachen, where he studied aerospace engineering. He worked in aerodynamics at the German Institute of Aerospace and other organisations, and afterwards at StreetScooter, a small subcontractor of DHL for the construction of electric vans. Now, he is busy creating Protontypes, an open accelerator for free and sustainable innovation, with some friends and some former colleagues of StreetScooter. One of their main projects is LibreSelery, which automates distributing funds to free and open source projects.
