Wes got his professional start in software developing Flash applications in ActionScript and somehow managed to turn that into his first startup with Dudley which they sold to Google in 2006. While there he worked on YouTube, Gmail, Docs, Google Voice, and a precursor to the Dart programming language. He then joined Dudley at Moz working on NodeJS based distributed systems.

More recently he helped with Nevada’s fight against COVID by developing their exposure notification app as well as their COVID test results notifications and portal. As of late 2021, he is working full time on StackAid to make developing Open Source software a sustainable career for many many more developers.
