Ryan is a longtime open source guy having started the open-source Amazon Echo (before the Echo was out) - Mycroft A.I. - Ryan then worked at Linux computer maker System76 as the community manager, watching the company grow substantially. Now Ryan is the Community and Business Development Manager for Thunderbird, as well as Treasurer on the Thunderbird’s governing body - The Thunderbird Council. Over the last three years at Thunderbird, Ryan has helped the project succeed with its revenue growing 3x - allowing the Thunderbird team to grow to 14 full-time people working on the project.
