Ben Hur brings a wealth of experience as an advocate, educator, trainer, and leader in the open data, data literacy, and open geospatial spaces. He has extensive expertise in open source applications, a proven track record in delivering capacity building activities, is well-versed in developing training and learning resources, and maintains strong relationships with local and international open communities.

He is dedicated to working with others to use open data and open technology to promote safe, fair, and free societies. Currently, he heads the development of the data and technology strategies at the Civic Literacy Initiative and SmartCT.
