Max is a data scientist and open source software developer focused on building data and tools for climate action. He leads the Open Source team at CarbonPlan, a nonprofit that works to improve the transparency and scientific integrity of climate solutions. He previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and as a scientist for the federal government. Max holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology — Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program in Oceanography.
