Dries is the Founder and Project Lead of Drupal. He has been working on Drupal for more than twenty years.

Drupal is Open Source software for building websites and digital experiences. Today, two percent of the world's websites use Drupal. In the enterprise, that number is closer to 1 out of 10 websites. Drupal is one of the largest, most active and most innovative Open Source projects in the world. Every year, around 10,000 individuals contribute code.

Dries founded the Drupal Association, a non-profit to help grow and sustain Drupal. Today, the Drupal Association has almost $4M in annual revenue and around 20 full-time employees.

Dries co-founded Acquia, a commercial Open Source company around Drupal. Acquia has grown to over 1,500 employees and around $300M in annual revenue. At Acquia, Dries is Acquia's Chief Technology Officer. He runs the Product Management and Product Marketing teams. He is also a Board Member.
