Alexander Petros is a software engineer, writer, and speaker. He is also a core maintainer of the htmx JavaScript library and aspiring contributor to the HTML standard. A couple of years ago he was put in charge of a Java 8 monolith and realized that the ancient ways of building websites had some forgotten merit. He’s been chasing that dream of a maintenance-free web service ever since. You can read about those efforts, and other thoughts on how to write software that doesn’t rot, at his blog, Unplanned Obsolescence.
