Alan Rubin is a computational biologist who leads the Computational Functional Genomics Group at the Collaborative Centre for Genomic Cancer Medicine, a joint venture between the University of Melbourne and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. His research focuses on developing new ways to analyse and integrate data from large-scale experiments that can measure the effects of thousands of genetic variants simultaneously. Alan is a recognised leader in translating these datasets into clinical settings, helping scientists and clinicians better understand and interpret the results of genetic testing, both for inherited conditions and cancer.
